Welcome to First Lutheran Church
Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod

Welcome to First Lutheran Church (FLC) located in Southern Maryland
    in
Huntingtown at the intersection of Route 4 South at Route 2.

Life is all about love -- God's love for us and our love for other people.  Because
God is love, the most important lesson he wants us to learn on earth is how to
love.  It is in loving that we are most like God, so love is the foundation of every
command he has given us:  "The entire law is summed up in a single command: Love your neighbor as yourself."

God wants His family, the church, to be known for its love more than anything
else.  Jesus said our love for each other is our greatest witness to the world.
He said, "all people will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

The best use of life is love.  The best expression of love is time.  The best time to love is now.  Come, experience the love of God among friends and neighbors as we gather for worship, fellowship, and the sharing of His Word.

FLC is guided by the Word of God as written in the BIBLE (Basic Instructions
B
efore Leaving Earth).  We believe in Jesus Christ and accept Him as our Eternal Savior, and know, "That it is by grace that we are saved, through faith, and that not of ourselves, it is a gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast."

We invite you to worship with us on Wednesdays and Sundays and participate in our Bible studies as we share Christ's love through our worship, ministries and fellowship.

God bless you in all you do!

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
